"I had the honor of meeting the extraordinary leader, Brig. General Belinda Pinckney. She's another inspiring yet humble American with a big dream: she became the first African-American woman to be inducted into the Officer Candidate School's Hall of Fame. Guiding Growth, by Mark Lipton
"I set out to prove through a research study that vision made absolutely no difference in organizational performance. I was dead wrong," says Mark Lipton, author of Guiding Growth, How Vision Keeps Companies On Course.
According to Lipton, "An effective vision statement is not a statement—it is a story. The narrative is what compels us to be part of an organization."
Guiding Growth shows that vision is an essential factor in building scalable organizations that last for the long haul. Guiding Growth provides examples of established and new organizations that have developed powerful growth visions and outlines a step-by-step process for establishing an actionable vision.

Quote of the Month
"Continuously improve. Increase your capabilities. Be a constant learner. Develop feedback systems—both formal and informal. Act on the feedback you receive. Thank people for feedback. Don’t consider yourself above feedback. Don’t assume today’s knowledge and skills will be sufficient for tomorrow’s challenges."
